How does Phos-Chek work to prevent/slow the rate of spread in wildfires?

Phos-Chek creates a fire retardant barrier that chemically reacts with fire, reducing the combustion process and slowing the spread of flames. It helps protect your property by inhibiting the ignition of vegetation and other combustible materials.

If it is the same product why isn't it RED?

The red hight visibly color is added for the firefighters on the ground as well as the planes as so they can see where it has been applied.

When is Fire Season and when should I start preparing?

Here in Southern California Fire Season is year round. Typically it runs late spring through fall, typically peaking late August to November ( when the Santa Ana winds arrive). However here in Southern California, we have seen all to well the fire season can be year round. This means its never to early to start an assessment and let our team help you be prepared year round. Vegetation management, identifying possible hazards, or spraying fire retardant, we have you covered.

Is the fire retardant safe for children, pets, and wildlife?

Absolutely! Our LTP is non-hazardous and poses no risk to humans, animals, vegetation, or property. We’re trying to protect our precious wildlife. The USDA Forest Service fully qualifies PHOS-CHEK fire retardants. They are the safest, most effective, and environmentally friendly products available.
