Hugh Sandgathe’s fantasy fiction writing has received honorable mentions in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest on multiple occasions. Feeling adequately accomplished as a short-story writer he’s now published his first full length novel – The Troll’s Trove. Hugh love’s stories of all kinds ranging from sci-fi to rom-com. He’s utterly fascinated with the human journey that is at it’s heart our story.

Prior to trying his hand at writing Hugh made is living as an electrical engineer. To get his foot in this particular door he abandoned his home State of Oregon and procured an education at the University of Washington. Hugh’s career in engineering exposed him to a number of heavy industries while convincing him of the impermanence of all things as even some of the biggest, seemingly most stable US based companies went out of business during his career.

Retiring from engineering and big oil some years back he now writes as a hobby. He has a number of books in the works but non-yet with a definitive completion date. Hugh maintains a irregularly updated philosophical blog at instudiopacis.wordpress.com .
